Sierra Nevada from Space

This image, probably taken by the space shuttle, shows the Sierra Nevada, and most of California, from a point somewhere above the west coast of Oregon. The view is to the southeast and clearly shows the extent of winter snows and the relationship of the range to the Great Central Valley.
